writing and executing validation test protocols. Will implement a qualified passive shipper system for transporting $6 million
shipments of temperature-sensitive product from a production facility to a distribution facility overseas beginning Q2 2008.
In addition: - Responsible for the
design and implementation of primary and secondary packaging as well as systems for controlled temperature (cold chain) distribution.
Provide expertise to all areas of labeling, packaging and global distribution. Evaluated packaging vendors to serve as second
sources for critical packaging and distribution components resulting in an annual savings of over $90,000 for 2007.
- Lead projects of small to medium size, medium to difficult complexity,
with limited supervision, tracking spending of budgets, creating scopes of work, risk assessments, justification, return on
investment, cost estimates, implementing purchase requisitions, and funding requests.
- Responsible for design and development of packaging specifications while serving as
a global interface for pallets, bulk boxes, corrugated paperboard structures, plastic films, dry bulk and liquid export container
liners for North America, Europe, and Asia regions.
- Contributed
to packaging projects resulting in over $900,000 in savings to global logistics group for 2005.
- Responsible for packaging specifications that comply with FDA guidelines for food grade,
pharmaceuticals, food contact, and cosmetic material.
- Proficient
with MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GE Kaye Validator System, MaxLoad (Container Load Design Software), TOPS (Unit Load Design
Software), and PDS (Pallet Design Software).
