Continued expansion and success has resulted in the need for an addition to their Packaging team!

Position:  Packaging Engineer
Under limited supervision, the Packaging Engineer will design and develop packaging materials and equipment for convenient, attractive and safe transport of goods under a variety of conditions. Identifies lubricants and other materials to prevent or eliminate potential damage or contamination of shipments. Evaluates packaging and transporting methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Conducts feasibility studies, determines manpower and cost estimates, and develops engineering criteria. Performs analyses to develop design options or recommendations for structures, systems and components. In addition this individual will:
  • Develop packaging innovative ideas from concept to commercialization
  • Drive automation programs, and assist plants with operational issues.
  • With minimal supervision, be responsible for simultaneously managing multiple packaging programs.
  • Present concepts and programs to business unit leaders.
  • Drive major programs with major customers to completion

Position Reports To:  Manager of Packaging Development. 
 
Requirements:
Role Requires:  B.S. in Packaging Engineering, or equivalent. 

Experience:  3-5 Plus Years experience in a Consumer Products Goods company, preferably foods.

Expected Areas of Competence:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form
