Position:
Senior Packaging Engineer The Senior Packaging Engineer will plan, conduct and lead packaging projects
with minimal supervision. He or she will be responsible for the development of packaging in support of
business needs with the primary focus being on new products. In addition the successful candidate will:
- Identify innovative packaging concepts and opportunities to drive business growth.
- Prepare accurate and timely specifications for all packaging developed.
- Execute Package Development projects to grow top line volume in support of New Product Development as a % of Revenue
goals.
- Conduct and lead required experimentation at the lab/pilot
plant/plant.
- Works with Purchasing to ensure consistency of packaging
supplier utilization where possible.
- Document all development work
accurately, including written documentation of package showings, and plant trials and lab work.
- Works with Marketing to become the technical packaging consumer expert for assigned products. Understands
who the consumer is, why and how they use our packages.
- Continually build
positive relationships with key functions (i.e. Marketing, Purchasing, QA, and Operations) to successfully implement new package
developments.

B.S. Degree in Packaging Engineering
Experience: 5 Years minimum experience with packaging in relevant industry.
Expected Areas of Competence: - Technical
problem solving skills.
- Understanding of packaging
materials, equipment, product/package relationship, and packaging industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Planning
skills, ability to coordinate multi-task projects.
- Working
knowledge of TOPS, Cape or equivalent.
- Excellent project management
and time management skills.
- Understanding of TAPPI, ASTM, and/or ISTA testing procedures
and related equipment.
- Good Working knowledge
of MS Word and Excel.
