Position: The Senior Packaging Development Manager will drive development in all/most categories, may still be learning
about difficult categories (mascara, etc). He, or she will be self-sufficient on projects and will know next
steps, key players. In addition they will contribute ideas, work with cross-functional team members with little/no guidance.
Some experience managing/teaching junior team members. The Self-sufficient on some categories.
The Manager. Packaging Development candidate will still
learning on unfamiliar categories. He, or she will understand the beauty industry and will come up with ideas.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage package development, innovation and quality
for select brands
with cross-functional partners regarding timelines, costs, MOQ, and package design and features
Ideate seasonal concepts with giftable, collectible
and soft goods experience a plus
and optimize the quality and performance of existing core products
· Review technical specs (2D and 3D) to develop both stock and custom packages
Partner with team on component design and material
submissions with team for unified feedback
· Meet tooling and launch deadlines and gross margin targets
Actively contribute in brand specific product development
Survey competitive landscape to develop best-in-class
Request, follow-up and distribute samples in a timely
Develop and maintain relationships with internal
and external partners
as needed – brand founder meetings, trade shows
