culture. Their products includes many of America's favorites as they bring delicious food to the table, superior service
to their customers, and value to their consumers through product innovation and differentiation. Specialty food is
the specialty of the house at this company. They are a leading maker of specialty food products, including salad dressings,
condiments, dips, and other food toppings mostly sold under their brand name. They sell their items nationwide,
primarily through retail grocers; however, it also supplies foodservice operators.
Position: The Manager, Packaging will work with a cross functional
team in the development of new, improved, and cost-reduced packaging. This position will strive for optimal packaging
design from an operations, distribution and end user perspective. This position will act as one of the key packaging materials
and equipment resources for the company and represent the company externally with suppliers and customers.
Provides technical support to all business teams in
the development of new packaging for the company.
· Acts as project leader or key support to design, direct and implement packaging cost saving and
sustainability projects. Evaluates new enhancements proposed to packaging materials, new proposed design and/or new equipment.
Supports the technical effort to develop and issue
Packaging and Packaging Related specifications. This includes the managing of all packaging specifications types in company
the role as a technical service/troubleshooter when more generally defined packaging problems at our facilities are beyond
the scope of the plant personnel.
and execute packaging related experiments, as well as plant trials; prepare results in technical reports, both written
and oral, for review with minimal supervision.
· Develops new ideas for innovation which utilize new packaging technology in support of new business
Maintain awareness of technical trends and developments
in the packaging industry.
