Position: The Packaging Engineer will
be responsible for ongoing packaging related business support activities, the development of new primary and secondary packaging
solutions as well as the design, development and commercialization of merchandising display units.
Works collaboratively with peers and cross-functional
team members and is accountable for all packaging related NPD (program management) tasks and activities.
Works closely with packaging component suppliers,
design firms and research affiliates to identify, develop and source primary and secondary packaging options as well as
new merchandizing display solutions.
· Supports operations and customer service teams with respect to resolving packaging related production
Identifies/develops new, innovative, packaging, printing,
and merchandizing concepts.
for developing and maintaining an internal packaging specifications data-base, associated processes and procedures (SOP).
Responsible for complying with; GLP, cGMP, regulatory
guidance documents, and Company policies and procedures.
· Works collaboratively with cross functional business partners and colleagues to develop, support,
manage and execute against all packaging project timelines.
· Responsible for hands-on development and testing (i.e. stability, material performance) of new
primary/secondary packaging solutions, printing, shippers, and merchandizing display units.
Supports the development of component and finished
closely with suppliers and manufacturing to support the transfer of new packaging components and/or materials to the production
Coordinates and manages external testing laboratories
to meet timelines and reporting dates.
· Works closely with Company Regulatory Dept. to maintain global regulatory awareness with respect
to resin’s, dyes/pigment safety, and packaging testing requirements (i.e. heavy metals, dye/pigment migration, processing

closely with supervisor to develop packaging Intellectual Property as appropriate.
· Responsible for all testing associated with demonstrating and supporting packaging stability/integrity
and defining shipping requirements and pallet configurations.
