Company Overview: This
company is a global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of pre-moistened wipes for the consumer market, specializing
in personal care, hygiene, household cleaning, and disinfection products. Position: The Principal Packaging
Equipment Manager will provide technical expertise in the development of state-of-the-art packaging equipment that includes
wet wipe folding and saturating equipment, label applicators, web wrappers, thermo-form fill and sealers, palletizers,
conveyors, bundlers, shrink wrappers, liquid fillers and case packers to further a best-in-class approach within Consumer
Wet Wipes manufacturing. He/she will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of developing methods that
enable efficient primary and secondary packaging of wet wipes, while working in collaboration with executive management,
Sales and Marketing, Operations, Quality and Procurement as well as interacting directly with customers. The ideal
candidate will have extensive consumer products packaging and packing systems experience, be energetic and lead in providing
innovative solutions. The Principal Packaging Equipment Engineer will serve as a key member of the Company Operations team,
and will participate in setting direction, driving change, and executing on deliverables in line with meeting the overall
corporate strategy. Essential Functions and Basic
Duties: ·
Work in collaboration with R&D as it relates to designing, prototyping and developing innovative
package designs, while assuring robust packaging equipment necessary in assembling, labelling, bundling, bagging and packing
of consumer wet wipes products. ·Develop and maintain professional knowledge of new or emerging
trends in packaging technology, inclusive but not limited to consumer products. · Identify,
review and evaluate new packaging technology for application to current and future product designs in delivering a robust
approach while leveraging previous experience. ·
Lead in defining technical milestones as it relates to high profile projects; ensuring on-time
delivery of product, process and equipment with minimal supervision. · Collaborate
with process engineering, package engineering and manufacturing staff in designing, specifying, implementing and validating
equipment and processes necessary, while minimizing losses. · Work directly with suppliers to
develop efficient robust packaging equipment, including managing equipment and process validations. · Work
as part of a team in leveraging and challenging suppliers in developing new technologies, while providing a cost advantage
surrounding packaging formats and materials to achieve business goals and financial objectives. · Be

Document all packaging and equipment designs, development, and testing in compliance with
ANSI standards. |
